About Me
I have been inspired by watercolours since I was very young because of its translucency and transparency which can produce a beautiful ethereal effect. This is achieved through the layering down of multiple layers of paint, or glazing.
I work in multiple mediums which include watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel and mixed media. They all have their beauty and strengths and I enjoy having a choice as to which one is more suitable for a particular scene I’d like to paint.
I connect very deeply with nature, and I love to paint it. This also includes portraits, animals and architecture.
Art, for me is truly a creative and fulfilling way to express my thoughts, feelings and experiences of my own relationship with life and the inherent synchronicity between us and the world we live in, and beyond.
I hope that my art reaches people, and that the beauty and transformative nature of the creative process is uplifting.
I tutor online live classes, private classes in my studio in Morphettville and in the studios at Atelier Crafers Art Academy in watercolour for beginners to the more experienced.
Throughout the year I participate in numerous exhibitions in Australia and internationally I am currently represented by and a featured artist for Bluethumb Online Art Gallery and FabrianoInAcquarello 2020, and 2022 Italy.
As a recipient of numerous awards in both landscape and portraiture, my work has been hung in a large number of exhibitions, including solo, and are in private collections worldwide.
Recent work has been exhibited on a large billboard in Times Square, New York, for SeeMe, which is both a gallery in New York, and an international on-line purchase art gallery.
I am featured on and filmed giving a demonstration in watercolours for the Australian based international art program Colour in Your Life. This was aired on channel 44 in Australia, YouTube, and 50 other countries on April 3, 2020. Please click on the link on the page to watch.
